As an educator, cultivating and considering the vital role family plays in the development of children.

My purpose in life is to use every day that I’m given to make a difference in the lives of others. In my 27 years of experience working with children and person’s with mental disabilities I’m always thinking, cultivating and considering the vital role family plays in the development of children. The African Proverb, “It takes a village to raise a child” speaks to us all. It’s important to work as a part of the larger village to not only provide a quality education, but to support our families and communities.

Creativity, encouraging & inspiring others to be their best is a love of mine says Mrs. Stokes. She believe that everyone is special & has a “story” about life that sets them apart from others which makes them unique. Because I believe that everyone has a “story”, I also believe that some people need more assistance in telling their story and having someone to listen to them.”
